First edition, first printing. Signed by the author. Original sky-blue decorated paper-covered boards with dark brown decorated endpapers. A fine copy, tight and square. Minimal rubbing/soling to the top of the spine and rear panel. A near-immaculate copy of a beautiful book.

Signed by Alice Oswald in black ink to the title page. The poet's note stresses that this "is not an illustrated book. It is two separate books, a book of etchings and a book of poems, shuffled together." What emerges is a kind of conversation or meditation, verbal and graphic, upon the flora of the title. "Weeds and Wild Flowers" was the winner of the inaugural Ted Hughes Award for poetry in 2009. Provenance: from the library of the multi-award winning poet Pat Borthwick.
