First edition, first printing. Original green cloth with gilt lettering and a line drawing to the spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated by the author. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, withlight offsetting to the endpapers, a small mark from a (no longer present) piece of tape on the front pastedown, and extremely light spotting to the closed text block edge, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the rubbed and nicked, price-clipped dustwrapper that has a few short closed tears and some toning to the spine.
