First edition. Inscribed by the author. Original quarter green morocco with titles in gilt to the spine, in the plain paper dustwrapper. Illustrated with a portrait frontispiece and one further full page plate. An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and tight, the contents spotted to the text block edge otherwise clean throughout. Pages mostly uncut. Complete with the nicked and toned plain paper dustwrapper which has a few small marks. Laid in is a four page offprint of the author's "Barony Parish Of Glasgow" reprinted from The Glasgow Herald July 21, 1934. Also laid in is a typed letter signed from the author sending the book.
Foundations of Glasgow is inscribed by the author in blue ink on the front endpaper "With the author's compliments [underlined]".
