York born Keith "PART2" Hopewell was early into the UK hip hop scene around 1982, making his name as a graffiti artist, first with his lettering style then moving into photorealism and abstract experimental pieces. At the turn of the 1990s with Juice126, he formed a graffiti crew called the Ikonoklast Movement, which included members such as Remi Rough, Stylo and System. The word Ikonoklast was borrowed from the theoretical texts of the New York "Gothic Futurism" artist Rammellzee, with whom Keith went on the collaborate (both as an artist and a musician with his group "New Flesh For Old"). The early issues of the UK graffiti magazine Graphotism were dominated with the Ikonoklast productions and artists. At the turn of the new millennium, Keith started experimenting with new street and gallery works under the PART2ISM pseudonym. He continues to work selectively, his appetite and ability to push boundaries unencumbered.
