BOTH MY PISTOLS WENT OFF... Original Illustration for Treasure Island.

An original artwork by Michael Foreman published on page 171 of the 2009 Pavilion Books first edition of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. Watercolour and pencil. Mounted and framed. Signed, dated, and titled by the artist to the bottom edge. The painting measures 39 x 49.7cm, while the frame measures 43.8 x 59.4cm. The painting, showing Jim Hawkins firing two pistols at a tumbling pirate, is rendered using a fresh colour palette and a dynamic composition which come together to create a stunning image that is full of movement and life.
