A charming and inventive production by this popular Scottish children's author, relating the adventures of two kittens and their dog 'Trusty' who come into conflict with various allegorical monsters, including the 'Rhinoceros Sulkyface' and the 'Greedy Toad'. As well as an author, Ballantyne was a well-regarded watercolour artist and exhibited regularly at the Royal Scottish Academy.
