'In preparing this book, Gered individually proofed and examined 3,500 frames carefully stored in his own personal archive, an experience which he described as being 'like viewing much of my work for the very first time'. In the process he rediscovered images he had long since forgotten, including many rare and unpublished colour pictures which can be found in Mason's Yard to Primrose Hill. (Genesis Publications)'.
