Tomas Tranströmer, perhaps Sweden's greatest modern poet, was the recipient of 2011 Nobel Prize for Literature. 'Det vilda torget' was first published in Sweden by Bonnier in 1983. This first English translation was issued simultaneously in paperback and hardcover by The Dedalus Press, Dublin.
