THE FOUR LOVES

First edition, first printing. Original grey cloth with red titles to the spine, in the Michael Harvey designed dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with some bumping to the extremites, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. The closed text block edges are a little spotted. Complete with the lightly rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that is a little marked but otherwise without loss or tears. Not price clipped (12s 6d to the bottom of the front flap).

C. S. Lewis's exploration of the nature of love looks through a philosophical and spiritual (primarily Christian) lens to identify different varieties of love and how they can manifest in both negative and positive ways.
