Second edition. Publisher's original stapled yellow card wrappers with titles in red and black to the upper cover. Text printed in red and black. Illustrated throughout in black and white with drawings by Harry Rountree, Treyer Evans and Neave Parker as well as numerous photographs. Contemporary unused membership application for the League for the Prohibition of Cruel Sports printed on pink paper loosely laid in. A near fine copy, the binding tight with rusting to the staples and a little spotting to the covers. The contents are clean throughout and free from any previous owners' inscriptions or stamps.

An early propaganda booklet from this pioneering anti-blood-sports organisation, dramatically produced with contrasting red and black text, provocative headlines, and startling photography. A scarce title, only one copy each of the first and second editions listed on Copac (both BL).
