Bound by Bayntun Riviere in full black crushed morocco, portrait illustration in gilt to the upper board, five raised bands, gilt ruled and decorated compartments, titles in gilt to the spine. Board edges and inner dentelles decorated in gilt, marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. Illustrated with line drawings and a map by E. H. Shepard. A very near fine copy, the binding square and tight, bright and fresh with just a touch of rubbing to the extremities. The contents, with a gilft inscription to the front blank, are otherwise clean throughout.
