A scarce group of academic articles tracing the development of Lattimer's work regarding the Kennedy assassination.

John Kingsley Lattimer (1914-2007) was a urologist who had served as an army doctor in WWII and later as general medical officer during the Nuremberg Trials, attending to the medical needs of war crimes defendants, including Hermann Göring. In 1972, the Kennedy family chose him as the first non-governmental expert to examine the medical evidence related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Lattimer conducted extensive research on the assassination, including ballistic tests, ultimately arguing that it was most likely Lee Harvey Oswald who shot and killed Kennedy in Dallas, from the vantage point of the Texas School Book Depository. His research culminated in his 1980 book, "Kennedy and Lincoln: Medical & Ballistic Comparisons of Their Assassinations", which provided an extensive examination of the assassinations of both presidents, and supported the findings of the Warren Commission into Kennedy's death. Provenance: from the library of Martin Stone.
