First edition. Publisher's original brown cloth with borders and titles in black to the upper board and spine, in the Aubrey Hammond illustrated dustwrapper. An excellent better than very good copy, the binding square and firm with just a little bumping at the head of the spine, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with spotting to prelims and closed text block edge, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that has several tiny closed tears and a couple of pieces of tape to the underside. Not price-clipped (2/6 to the spine, as called for). An attractive example, seldom encountered in the dustwrapper.
