First edition, first printing. Signed by the author. Publisher's original blue cloth with titles in yellow to the spine. Without the dustwrapper. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with some rubbing to the extremities, the cloth and titles bright. The contents, with just a couple of light spots are othewise clean throughout.

Inscribed by the author in blue ink on the front endpaper "Olive De Horne / from George de Horne / As one author to another / 2.1.39". Further signed "George Vaizey" under his printed name on the title page. The author's first mystery novel. (Hubin).
