HUMBOLDT'S GIFT

Book club edition. Original maroon and yellow cloth, in dustwrapper. Mustard endpapers. A near fine copy, the binding strong and square. Moderate pushing to the head and foot of the spine, with a little bumping to the lower corners. Contents are clean, without marks or inscriptions. The bright and clean dustwrapper is slightly bumped to the head and foot of the spine panel, which is also lightly toned; there's also a two centimetre closed tear where the top of the spine meets the rear panel. An attractive copy.

The author's eighth novel, "Humboldt's Gift" was winner of the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. In the same year, Bellow was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature.
