First edition, first printing. Inscribed by the author (twice). Publisher stapled card covers. A very near fine copy, just slightly rubbed at the spine tips otherwise clean and bright.

Signed in full and inscribed by the author in black ink at the head of the title page "Betty - / with love and thanks for in some way giving me the / opportunity for about half of this! / Lyn" underneath which in brown ink is the later inscription "for Pat - I hope you don't / mind my passing on this / copy from a dear friend / who died recently aged / 96, and who helped me / get together again with / 'Galileo' after many / years.
