MURDER AT THE VICARAGE

First edition, first printing. Publisher's original orange cloth with black titles to the upper board and spine. A very good copy, the binding firm with some bumping and softening to the spine tips, the cloth with a few minor marks, the spine somewhat darkened. The contents are entirely complete and without loose or torn pages. There is a small previous owner's signature in ink on the front endpaper and the occasional isolated foxing spot or finger mark to the margins throughout. A decent example is entirely original condition.

The true first edition of first Miss Marple novel. The American edition was published by Dodd, Mead and Company later the same year. (Hubin; Wagstaff & Poole; Curran, John: The Hooded Gunman).
