RONALD SEARLE: A Biography.

First edition, first printing. Signed by Ronald Searle. Original black cloth with gilt lettering to the spine, in dustwrapper. Publisher's patterned endpapers. A near fine copy, the binding tight and square, the contents clean and without inscriptions or stamps. The spine tips are a little bumped and pushed. In the mildly shelf-worn dustwrapper, showing some light creasing and a few scratches. The upper spine is a little pushed and rubbed, the outer corners minimally rubbed. With the bookseller's 'Signed Copy' label affixed to the front panel. A nice copy. Scarce signed by Searle.

Signed by Ronald Searle in black ink to the title page. Lavishly illustrated throughout in colour and black and white, this substantial biography of the artist, published to coincide with his seventieth birthday, was fully authorised by Searle, who allowed Russell Davies access to his archive.
