Publisher's original blue cloth with gilt titles and illustration to the spine and upper board, in slipcase, with cut out revealing a section of cover illustration. Illustrated with a frontispiece and chapter headings by Charles Vess. A very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, with some very light rubbing to the cloth, the contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the very lightly marked, structurally sound slipcase.

Signed by Neil Gaiman in blue ink on the limitation page. Issued in a signed and numbered 'Gift Edition' of 2000 copies of which this example is numbered 709. Includes a new postscript by the author and early Wall story 'Wall: A Prologue'. First published in the UK in 1999, Stardust won the Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for Adult Literature in 1999 and was adapted into the 2007 film of the same name, starring Charlie Cox and Claire Danes.
