First edition, first printing. Publisher's original blue cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the Pino Dell-Orco illustrated dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, toned to the cheap quality paper stock, are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. The top edge of the closed text block is dusty, the for-edge with two isolated foxing spots. Complete with the lightly creased dustwrapper that has a short closed tear and an ink border to a title on the rear panel and light fading to the red lettering to the spine. Not price-clipped (15s net to the lower front flap).
The first of two thrillers written under the Ian Stuart pseudonym by the best selling author of war and adventure fiction Alistair MacLean.
