Advance proof copy of the first paperback edition. Publisher's original black card covers with orange and white titles to the spine. 400pp. A good copy, the binding square and firm, with rubbing and creasing along the spine folds, tips and corners (which have been coloured with black ink) and a short closed tear to the bottom corner of the rear panel. The contents, toned and with a few short tears with a little loss to the bottom corner of the front endpaper and subsequent page, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps.

The second volume in King's 'The Dark Tower' series. The Plume trade paperback would feature 10 full colour illustrations by Phil Hale, not present in the proof copy.
