Issued in a limited edition of 250 copies of which this example is numbered 122 and signed by Harlan Ellison in blue ink on the limitation page. Two of Ellison's early short story collections, unusual in not including speculative fiction. The stories in 'The Deadly Streets' (first published in 1958) explore the violence Harlan encountered as a member of a 1950s Brooklyn street gang during research for his novel 'Web of the City', and 'Gentleman Junkie' (first published in 1961) examines the injustice and oppression prevalent in the United States in the 1950s.
