THE DECORATIVE ARTS IN ENGLAND 1660-1780

First edition. Folio. Quarter parchment, marbled boards, green morocco title labels lettered in gilt to the front board and spine. Gilt to top edge, marbled endpapers. In dustwrapper. The contents are clean throughout and free from any previous owners' inscriptions or stamps. The dustwrapper with very minor wear to the extremities and a crease and tear to the corner of the rear panel is otherwise in remarkably good order.

Contains sections on furniture, wood carvings, chandeliers, silver, medals, Stuart enamel, locks, Battersea enamel, ormolu, glass, tapestries, needlework, and bookbindings. Uncommon in such excellent condition and with the dustwrapper present. Provenance: From the library of Martin Stone.
