"A New Edition", "Complete in One Volume". Contemporary speckled calf ruled in gilt. Five raised bands with Greek key decoration and devices in gilt to the compartments, black morocco title label lettered in gilt. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with a small scrape to the leather at the head of the upper board and a little rubbing to the extremities. The contents with a neat ink number to the front pastedown, a couple of creased corners and the occasional mark to page margins are otherwise in good order and clean throughout. Handsomely bound.
An early edition of the anonymous letters by the mysterious 'Junius', the purpose of which were to expose political corruption, inform the public of their historical and constitutional rights, and to highlight where and how the government had infringed upon them. Provenance: from the library of Martin Stone.
