THE ORANGE FAIRY BOOK

First edition, first printing. Early 20th century orange half morocco with five raised bands and gilt titles and illustrations to the spine. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Beautifully illustrated with 8 colour plates and black and white line drawings throughout by H. J. Ford. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the leather and cloth with a little light rubbing, the corners slightly bumped. The contents, with spotting to the endpapers and prelims and a few light spots and finger marks here and there are otherwise clean throughout. The the frontispiece is cracked but holding at the lower hinge; pages 3, 5, and 127 with small tears (not affecting the text).
