First illustrated edition, first printing. Publisher's beige paper covered boards and brown cloth spine, in dustwrapper and slipcase. Illustrated by John Lawrence in colour and black and white throughout. With a fold out map at the rear. A lovely near fine copy, the binding square and tight, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. The map is in fine condition. There is a little faint spotting to the closed top edge of the text-block. Complete with the lightly spine-toned dustwrapper which remains without loss or tears. Not price-clipped (£8.75 net to the front flap).
