THE BFG

First edition, first printing. Publisher's original grey boards with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated with ink and wash drawngs by Quentin Blake. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth and gilt bright and fresh. The contents, with the unavoidable toning of the paper-stock are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the very near fine dustwrapper that is just a little faded to the spine and otherwise without loss or tears. Not price-clipped (£6.50 net to the lower front flap). A lovely copy.

One of Roald Dahl's best loved tales. The basis for several stage and screen adaptations, most notably the 2016 Walt Disney Pictures film directed by Stephen Spielberg starring Mark Rylance, Ruby Barnhill, Penelope Wilton, Jemaine Clement, Rebecca Hall, Rafe Spall and Bill Hader. The BFG character first appears as a story told to Danny by his father in Danny, the Champion of the World (1975).
