First edition, first printing. Publisher's original red cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the author illustrated dustwrapper. An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth and gilt bright and fresh. The contents are clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. The top edge of the closed text block is a little dusty. Complete with the lightly rubbed and nicked dustwrapper that has a couple of short closed tears with associated creasing and a hint of fading to the spine. Not price-clipped (£2.50 to the upper front flap).

The author's scarce second novel, published in an edition of 921 copies on 10th May 1976.
