I BEHELD GREAT HEAPS OF COIN... Original Illustration for Treasure Island

An original artwork by Michael Foreman published on page 220 of the 2009 Pavilion Books first edition of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. Watercolour and pencil. Mounted and framed. Signed, dated, and titled by the artist to the bottom edge. The painting measures 25 x 32cm, while the frame measures 43.8 x 59.4cm. The vibrant painting shows a bright, jewel like ocean seen from inside a dark cave full of treasure, from which pirates are transporting bags of gold.
