First edition, first printing. French language. Limited to 1200 copies, this copy being number 644. Original paper wrappers with titles in black and dark red to the spine and upper cover. Illustrated with eight black and white plates by Jean Cocteau. A very good copy, the binding firm, the wrappers somewhat toned and spotted, some nicking to the edges, the paper split a little to the spine. The contents have some faint spotting and toning, mostly confined to the early and late pages.
