First edition, first printing. Signed by the author. Publisher's original orange cloth with black titles to the upper board and spine, in the Alex Jardine illustrated dustwrapper. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth without fading. The contents with a bookplate of Harrogate Public Library to the pastedown and a faint square "withdrawn" stamp to the bottom corner of the copyright page are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the lightly rubbed and nicked dustwrapper which remains without loss or large tears. Correctly priced 8/6 net to the front flap. Despite the stamp to the contrary, this copy shows very few signs of having been in the library system.
