First edition of issue seven of this influential Punk magazine. Quarto. 13 Mimeograph stapled pages, as issued. Illustrated throughout. A very good copy, with light toning to the extremities, a couple of tiny nicks to the rear page and a little oxidisation of the corner staple. The pages are otherwise clean and bright. The S. G. pin-up on page 13 features an Erica Echenberg photograph of "The Damned".
NME acclaimed "Sniffin' Glue" as "the nastiest, healthiest and funniest piece of press in the history of rock'n'roll habits" and it became the true chronicle of the early days of British punk rock as well as pioneering the DIY punk ethic. Fearing absorption into the mainstream music press, Perry ceased publication in 1977 with issue 12. The early and half issues had a small print run and are now scarce.
