First edition. Board binding with colour illustrations to the upper and lower boards. There are three pockets among the pages, each containing a small record featuring a song from the book. A very good copy, with dustiness to the upper and lower boards and some darkening to the first and last pages. All of the pages and record pockets are intact and sound.
This is the sixth book from The Bubble Book series from Hodder and Columbia, which were the first children's publications to incorporate recorded music into a book. They all featured a simple story relating to the nursery rhymes and songs on the records. In recognition of its historical importance, the first Bubble Book was added to The Library of Congress' National Recording Registry in 2004. The series was extremely popular in the 1920s and the series eventually grew to 15 volumes. From the library of Martin Stone.
